Whakawhanaungatanga

Working on our 'Whakawhanaungatanga'...

Mahi Ngatahi/ Working Together

Aronga ki tō mahi/ Building Stamina to stay focused on our mahi

He pai ki te pātai atu mō te awhina/ Asking for help is a good thing

Mana Motuhake/ Managing yourself, being responsible

Takaro Ngatahi/ Playing nicely together

We spent the first two weeks of kura getting to know each other, working and learning  in the same space together being respectful, resilient, and responsible for our own actions.

We thought about this question, 'What makes a good class?'

Swimming with whaea Nikki...

We have been learning some survival skills with whaea Nikki. We got to wear life jackets in the water and learn how to use them to save our lives! We had so much fun! We know how to stay afloat, keep warm and safe while we wait to get rescued.

Here we are learning how to kick on our backs, and to stay afloat.

We had a great lesson and can't wait to see whaea Nikki again to learn some new things about being safe in the water.
