Te Wāhi Pā
We have been doing a study on ancient Māori Pā.
We looked at the places that were chosen to build a pā site and some of the reasons why our ancestors chose such places. We studied the buildings, materials, and tools that were available and used in pastimes and the materials and tools that are used nowadays.
We looked at some models, pictures, and videos of Pā sites and decided to have a go at working together and building our own model Pā sites using what materials were available to us at kura. Here are some pictures of our mahi...mātakitaki mai koutou... 
We enjoyed our topic of study and building our own Wāhi Pā.
